We're still getting a groove and I'm yet to find time to work out ;) I'm impressed you're doing it all!AlliFerghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14810506605548982246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2497526439924066211.post-17318532686019017602013-02-25T11:54:45.451-08:002013-02-25T11:54:45.451-08:00I've done two marathons, the first one I did i...I've done two marathons, the first one I did in Iraq on a whim, with a very good guy who passed away recently from an undiagnosed heart condition while back on leave from his 4th deployment :(

You probably already know this, but the biggest thing about doing a longer distance type race is to SLOW down at the beginning and don't get into it too quickly. My second marathon was two years ago May, I went into it to run the half with two of my female friends who are also military, couldn't find them at the beginning, wasn't even registered for the event and though, hey, what the heck, I'll run the half by myself then. I got halfway through and the guy I'd been running with for 2 miles said "time to separate the men from the boys"...

Well, that comment got me going and I did the entire 26.2 miles then. Oddly enough, I was 3 minutes faster than the run I did in Iraq. At least I'm consistent! I recently started blogging again as a way of coping with some personal issues in my life, trying to check out as many of the other military blogs, men and women, as I can. If you want, check mine out. Good to see a happy military couple, that's the best kind :)fraNkenoodleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17126392054864483427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2497526439924066211.post-18209511741449752752013-02-23T09:14:17.837-08:002013-02-23T09:14:17.837-08:00Y'all look so cute in your ski gear! You are a lot busier (in a good way!) now that your guy is home. It makes sense to make up for lost time. Priorities, yo.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
