Oh man. It was a good weekend. We celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas, and our Anniversary all in a few days. We visited Bainbridge Island, ran a Turkey Trot, made Thanksgiving Dinner, exchanged presents, and then ran the Seattle Half Marathon. Whew!

I didn't take any pictures at the Oly Trot because it was rainy and we were both racing, but we did get these fun arm warmers instead of a shirt. I have plenty of race shirts, so it's kinda fun to have something different.
We then made Thanksgiving dinner together. The hubby made soft pretzels instead of dinner rolls. They were amazing.
I also made roasted green beans with cranberries.
And a little sweet potato casserole, made with two potatoes.
And here's our complete little dinner for two!

We then exchanged presents. We then finished up the weekend with the Seattle Half Marathon. Hubby was my photographer and sherpa. :)

So thankful to have a hubby that loves me so much.

As you can see, the weather was not so great. It took about 20 seconds after the finish to realize how cold I was. At least I was cold during the race. I didn't get the PR I was hoping for, but I did catch a cold. I will do a full race report later.

I'm so happy with how the weekend went though (beside the catching a cold part). I'm sure I'll still be a little sad when Christmas comes and he's not here, but it was really fun to make our own combined holiday this weekend.

Happy Holidays!

  1. I've never seen arm earners as race swag before. Cool. Y'all's Thanksgiving looks lovely! I think Turkey day for two is so romantic! I've never run a half in the rain, but it looks tough!*
